Scientific Image & Data Analysis Software Provider ViQi, Inc. Awarded SBIR Phase II Funding From U.S. Department Of Energy

: ViQi, Inc. today announced it has received an SBIR Phase II award from the U.S. Department of Energy in the amount of $1MM. These funds will support the development of advanced scientific data processing and visualization tools.

The U.S. Department of Energy awards grants through a very competitive application and review process. ViQi came out on top due to their strong business demand, cutting edge technology in web visualization and massive data processing, and impressive track record in both business and technology development.

This grant will be used to develop advanced data processing and visualization tools for very large datasets. Specifically, the areas that the company will focus on are:

- Large-scale image & data processing technology, tools, and services
- Cloud-based visualization technology, tools, and services  
- Accelerating and validating R&D workflows for scientists
